Fancy Vase

Springtime is here! And I’m betting most of us have a boring vase or two taking up space under our sinks, or on a top shelf somewhere. I found one of mine, and I’m giving it a little love to get it in shape for spring flowers.

What you’ll need:

• Vase

• All-surface primer

• Glass/all-surface paint

• Embellishment

• Mod Podge

• Paint tape and brushes

Get the surface ready by giving it a quick sudsing so that the primer adheres well. And arrange the tape.

Apply the primer. It required a 30 minute wait before applying a second coat. And another 30 before putting on the paint. But check your can to be sure about your primer’s wait time.

Three coats of paint later (as soon as it’s dry) and I’m ready to take the tape off...

Apply the pretties :). A coat of Mod Podge on the underside and then gently brushed on top. And carefully arrange it.

And before you put it aside to dry, use a damp cloth to wipe the excess Mod Podge off the glass. In a few hours it will be completely dry and ready to fill.
